BREAST CANCER

The OnkoCafe Foundation – Together with the Building the Future Foundation, organizes workshops in Warsaw, during which breast cancer prevention training for women is conducted

The breast cancer prevention program for women  includes regular mammographic screenings every 24 months, is a key element in combating the most common malignant tumor in women in Poland. For women in the high-risk group, such as those with a family history of breast cancer or BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations, it is recommended to have mammograms every 12 months.

Raising awareness about cancer prevention has both enormous social and economic significance. In Poland, breast cancer accounts for about 23.8% of all cancer cases and is the cause of about 15.3% of cancer deaths. Therefore, educational and informational activities are extremely important.

The OnkoCafe Foundation – Together with the Building the Future Foundation, organizes workshops in Warsaw, during which breast cancer prevention training for women is conducted. Maryna Mammadova, director of the Building the Future Foundation, enthusiastically speaks about the involvement of the training participants, emphasizing how mutual support motivates women to take care of their health. She believes that through education and mutual reminders about preventive examinations, awareness of breast cancer in society will increase.

Although there is still a long way to go, hopes for changes in awareness are strongly linked to younger generations. Regular training and workshop meetings are a step towards better prevention and early detection of breast cancer, which can significantly increase the chances of effective treatment and reduce the number of deaths from this disease.
